Can I install an EV charger at my Opa-locka condo?

Florida law (FS 718.113) protects a unit owner's right to install an electric vehicle charging station in their limited-common-element parking space at their own expense — the association can set reasonable installation standards but cannot flatly refuse. In practice, Opa-locka buildings vary widely on electrical capacity, so get the association's written process and an electrician's load check before you buy the car.

Sources & as-of

Read from HUD’s condominium list, the VA condominium report, FL DBPR filings and county registry and building records, compiled 2026-08-08. Figures describe what was on file that day; a missing filing is recorded as unconfirmed rather than as a finding, and conventional (Fannie/Freddie) standing is not publishable in either direction.
